ABUJA, (CAJ News) – THE outgoing Swedish Ambassador to Nigeria, Svante Kilander, has expressed satisfaction with strides made by the administration of President Muhammadu Buhari in addressing prevailing challenges.
The envoy said his country was pleased with the “sweeping changes” taking place across the West African country with “clear results” in the fight against terrorism and corruption.
Kilander was speaking during a farewell audience with Buhari at the State House in the capital Abuja as the former’s term as his country’s representative in Nigeria lapsed.
The lapse of Kilander’s term coincides with the crusade by the Nigerian government to rid the country of corruption and eliminate the Boko Haram crisis that has claimed thousands of lives and displaced an estimated 3 million others.
The Swedish envoy meanwhile said his country would continue to strengthen bilateral relations with Nigeria by encouraging more trade and investments between both countries.
