Suicide bomb attack kills 18 in Nigeria

From AHMED OBAFEMI in Maiduguri, Nigeria,MAIDUGURI, (CAJ News) – AT least 18 people, including the perpetrators,have been killed after suicide bombers detonated their explosives at a village northeast of Nigeria.The National Emergency Management Agency (Nema) confirmed the attack at the Dalori Kofa village in the Borno State. Nema spokesman, Abdulkadir Ibrahim, said the attack occurred on Sunday evening after two female suicide bombers gained entry into the village.
Two other female suicide bombers were intercepted as they tried to gain access into a refugee site, the Dalori 2 Internally Displaced People (IDP) camp, adjoining Dalori Kofa. Ibrahim said the injured victims had been administered with first aid and
transported to hospitals within Maiduguri, the Borono capital, for treatment.
Maiduguri is the epicentre of the reign of terror by the Boko Haram terror group as it continues a violent campaign to establish an Islamic caliphate in Africa’s most populous country of some 190 million people.
More than 20 000 civilians have been killed, 2 million displaced and thousands kidnapped by the radicals.
