Rivers trio nabbed for armed robbery

ABUJA, (CAJ News) – THE Rivers State Police Command has arrested three suspected armed robbers from their hideout in Port Harcourt.

State Police Public Relations Officer Ahmad Muhammad, disclosed the arrest.

He said the robbery suspects were arrested following a tip off from the area.

“Rivers State Police Command wishes to inform the general public that a team of police operatives on a tip off raided a suspected armed robber’s hideout situated along Ada George, Port Harcourt,” said Muhammad.

He said the operation led to the arrest of three males suspected armed robbers namely Goodluck Worwu, Charles Wogu and Atochi Ezizie.

The police spokesman said two AK 47 rifles, a K2 rifle, five magazines, 135 rounds of 7.62 live ammunition and assorted charms were recovered from the suspects.

He added that the State Criminal Investigation Department (CID) was working on the case.
