ABUJA, (CAJ News) – THE administrator of the Rivers State Waste Management Agency (RIWAMA), Felix Obuah, has threatened government would cut ties with contractors that are not evacuating dirt and waste in their zones.

He said their laxity, particularly in the capitalP ort Harcourt, was leading to build-up of refuse.

“May I therefore warn for the last time that all those service providers  in the affected zones risk being sacked to make room for more serious and committed partners so as not to compromise the efforts of Governor Nyesom  Wike who has put all necessary machinery in place to restore the Garden-City status of Port Harcourt and its environs,” he said.

Obuah meanwhile used the opportunity to felicitate and congratulate the Muslims for a successful completion of the Ramadan fast, wishing them and all service providers happy Eid-el-Fitri celebrations.

Healso advised the service providers and indeed, all stakeholders to imbibe the good morals of the Ramadan period and reflect same in their behaviours, actions and responsibility of keeping the environment clean, safe and healthy for all.
