ABUJA, (CAJ News) – AS part of measures to thwart terror attacks, the Military has restricted vehicular movements during the Eid Kabir celebrations in Borno State.

Deputy Director of Army Public Relations, Col. Tukur Ismail Gusau, confirmed the restrictions.

He said all movements on vehicles and animals like horses, camels and donkeys would be restricted as from Wednesday 1700hrs to Thursday.

He added that all vehicular movements into and out of Maiduguri town would also be restricted within the period till further notice.

Gusau said the decision was in line with the new resolve of the Nigerian Armed Forces and other security agencies in Operation LAFIYA DOLE to ensure Borno State enjoyed hitch-free Sallah celebrations.

“Together we shall win the war against terrorism and insurgency within the shortest possible time,” he said.
