Madumere welcomes unity among Igbo

ABUJA, (CAJ News) – THE Deputy Governor of Imo State, Prince Eze Madumere, has praised Governor Rochas Okorocha for fostering unity among the Igbo.

He commended the parties involved in the peace accord, saying their sacrifices were not only appreciated by the Igbo but would be remembered kindly by future generations.

Madumere who also described Okorocha as a rare visionary leader of note recalled Okorocha was known for his love and sacrifices for peace and unity of Igbo and beyond having achieved same feat in the past under Nigeria Peace Forum and under other platforms and arrangement.

He added that united Igbo race presented the best opportunity to re-launch itself back to its progressive place in the country and beyond especially with the present cooperation that now exist among Ohaneze Sociocultural forum, the politicians led by the governors and the business community.

Madumere therefore called for a more cohere and united Ndi-Igbo “with new thinking, approach towards achieving a strong, virile, sustainable and self-sufficient economy.”

Igbo is one of the major languages in the country
