NCC tech donation to aid police fight crime

ABUJA, (CAJ News) – THE Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has  donated information and telecommunications technology equipment to the anti-vice unit of the Nigerian Police Force in Abuja.

Maryam Bayi the Commission Director of Human Capital and Infrastructure Group handed the devices to the Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP), Usman Bala, at the anti-vice precinct.

Bayi promised the commission’s continuous support to enforcement agencies  towards fighting crime in the country.

She also added that the Commission was working on the Critical Infrastructure Protection Bill.

“If the bill passed into law, it would recognize telecoms infrastructure as critical to the national and economic security of the country,” Bayi  said.

Bala appreciated the commission for the donation and promise that the Nigerian Police Force dedicated towards protecting the lives of Nigerians and ICT infrastructure across the nation.
