The people gave their support to the People’s Democratic Party candidate during the rally at the palace of the district head Alhaji Maiyaki Kupa.
The traditional ruler described the incumbent governor as a true representation of democratic leader.
He said security was one of their challenges in the area but since the emergence of the governor the district had remained peaceful.
“We have been enjoying peace since you become the governor of Kogi State,” said Kupa.
“We used to have crisis with the herdsmen but since your emergence as governor, the people of KUPA have been sleeping with their eyes closed.”
He commended Wada for transforming and safeguarding the lives and properties of the people of the state.
“You are a leader who listened to both young and old, we feel safe talking to you and we will continue to work with you for the progress of our state,” Kupa said.
The people of the area also commended incumbent governor and assured him of their support that would ensure his victory in the November 21 governorship election.
Wada asked the people of Kupa for their collective support, stating that his administration in the last three and a half years has laid the basic foundation the socio-economic transformation.
“If re-elected, we will consolidate on the achievements this administration has recorded in the first term in office,” he said.
