ABUJA, (CAJ News) – THE Bangladesh Armed Forces has expressed willingness to adopt strategies used by their Nigerian counterparts to combat insurgency and criminalities in their country.
The sentiments emerged after a meeting between members of the Bangladesh National Defence College and the Chief of Defence Staff (CDS), General Abayomi Gabriel Olonisakin, at the Defence Headquarters in Abuja.
The Bangladeshi force members are on a geo-strategic study tour of Nigeria.
The leader of the delegation, Rear Admiral Anwarul Islam, lauded the success of the Nigerian Military to overcome insurgency.
He commended the strides by the armed forces against the Boko Haram over the past year.
“Bangladesh has a lot to learn from the Nigerian Armed Forces,” Islam said.
He solicited cordial military bilateral relations with the Nigerian Armed Forces.
