Ex-Adamawa premier Fintiri in court Thursday

ABUJA, (CAJ News) – THE Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) is  today scheduled to arraign Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri, former Adamawa State Governor, on five counts of bribery and money laundering to the tune of  N1,9 billion.

The anti-corruption agency is set to bring the disgraced politician at the Federal High Court in Abuja.

The ex-governor is under probe for alleged abuse of office and corruption during his heyday.

It is alleged the former governor awarded two road contracts that were never delivered during his time at the helm of the state.

Fintiri became acting governor of Adamawa following the impeachment of  Governor Murtala Nyako and his deputy, Bala Ngilari, two years ago for alleged corruption.
