Boko Haram terror mastermind captured

MAIDUGURI, (CAJ News) – NIGERIAN troops have captured an alleged Boko Haram terror kingpin and killed two other suspected insurgents northeast of the country.
The troops of 158 Task Force Battalion killed the alleged terrorists in Geidam Local Government Area of Yobe State.
Three others fled into nearby bushes.
Equipment recovered includes an AK 47 rifle, magazines, rounds of 7 ammunition, grenade and motorcycles.
Other items include desert camouflage uniform, mobile phones, motorcycle spare parts, dry cell batteries, pairs of sandals and N6 000 (US$16)cash.
In a related development, troops of 159 Task Force Battalion have apprehended an alleged Boko Haram mastermind, named as Abbas Abubakar.
Abubakar is said to be behind a terror spree in some areas in the Borno State.
Nigeria Army Deputy Director of Public Relations, Colonel Timothy Antigha,confirmed the successes.
