Army chief breaks fast with soldiers in Konduga

ABUJA, (CAJ News) – THE Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Tukur Yusufu Buratai, has paid a surprise visit to the Nigerian troops in Konduga in the Borno State, where he has joined them break the Ramadan Fasting in their trenches.

The Holy Month of Ramadan, one of the most important days in the Muslim calendar, ended on Monday last week.

In Konduga, Buratai interacted with the troops who are mostly from 103 Battalion in the restive state.

The troops are among teams that have been deployed to the northeast to fight the Boko Haram terror sect.

The sect has wrecked havoc, killing over 20 000 people and displacing more than 3 million.
