ABUJA, (CAJ News) – NIGERIA Army is on course to eliminate the Boko Haram sect, a spokesperson said after the arrest of another alleged Boko Haram kingpin.
On Monday, it was reported the vigilant troops of 23 Brigade Special Battalion had arrested a suspected Boko Haram terrorist, Ishaku Wardifen,at a check point in Maiha, Adamawa State.
This came a day after the arrest of one Chindo Bello, another of the 100 suspects recently declared wanted, was arrested at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Airport in Abuja.
Preliminary interrogation revealed that the suspected terrorist is a Cameroonian citizen. Visual matching with photographs on the poster of the 100 declared suspected Boko Haram terrorists wanted list released by the Nigerian last month, shows that he clearly resemble the suspect on serial number 22 on the list.
The suspect has been handed over to military intelligence for further investigation and possible prosecution.
The Nigerian Army called on all citizens and all well meaning residents of our country to continue to be more vigilant and security conscious to
enable us rid our great nation of the menace of terrorism and insurgency.
“All hands are on deck to finally defeat Boko Haram terrorists in our country,” said Colonel Sani Kukasheka Usman, Acting Director Army Public Relations.
