ABUJA, (CAJ News) – NEWLY-appointed Family Planning Champion in Nigeria, Toyin Saraki, has restated her commitment to empower local women.

The Nigeria Federal Ministry of Health, in collaboration with the United  Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) recently elevated the wife of Senate  President, Bukola, to that position at a ceremony held at the Presidential  Villa in Abuja recently.

He said she would carry the title with pride, and with it, empower women and girls to know that they could have a right on when and how they start a family.
